In the 2020–21 Turkish drama/comedy “You Knock on My Door,” Kerem Bürsin played Serkan Bolat, and Hande Erçel played Eda Yildiz. The show was about a planned marriage. Below is a list of the nine best Turkish shows that deal with forced marriages, fake relationships, and different kinds of contracts. If you like it when people slowly and surprisingly fall in love with each other, these books are great for you.

9 Best Forced Marriage Turkish Dramas

Prisoner Of Love (2016–18)

  • Starring: Özge Yagiz, Derya Kurtulus, Atilla Pekdemir
  • Turkish Title: Adini Sen Koy
  • Episodes: 359

Adini Sen Koy is one of the best Turkish plays about a planned marriage. It’s about a rich man who marries a poor girl to make his sick sister feel better. For money, he only does it for six months. Things don’t go as planned, though, and their marriage turns into something more.

People really like how well the leads of Prisoner of Love get along. Something about it makes it stand out and fun to view. The story doesn’t have a good ending, though, which is a negative. Part of the reason is that the players had to quit the project.

Black Pearl (2017–18)

  • Starring: Tolgahan Sayisman, Hande Erçel, Berk Hakman
  • Turkish Title: Siyah Inci
  • Episodes: 20

It’s a love triangle story with many moving parts. It’s about a girl engaged to a young fisherman and a wealthy businessman who falls in love with her. The man from the business is forced to marry her the day before her wedding. She makes him think of his first wife, who died a few years ago, and he falls deeply in love with her.

He wants her to love him back the way he loves her, but she is mad at him for taking away her youth. At the same time, the fisherman she loves thinks she left him for money and status, and he wants to get back at her.

A great group is introduced in Black Pearl. You can’t take your eyes off the screen because the main characters look natural and beautiful. Some things could have been added to the story’s ending, but it only destroyed part of the series.

What Is Fatmagul’s Fault? (2010–12)

  • Starring: Beren Saat, Engin Akyürek, Firat Çelik
  • Turkish Title: Fatmagül’ün Suçu Ne?
  • Episodes: 80

There is a young girl who is raped by some drunk guys in this Turkish thriller. The male hero feels terrible even though he wasn’t one of the people who raped her because he didn’t do anything to stop them. So, he agrees to marry the girl even though her engagement has to be called off because of what happened.

Who is to blame for Fatmagul? is set in the beautiful city of Izmir and is mainly about the main characters and their friends and family. You’ll be hooked immediately, primarily since it’s based on a true story. The male lead is sometimes hard to understand because he simultaneously is a hero and a bad guy, and the female lead goes for a bad guy.

Endless Love (2015–17)

  • Starring: Burak Özçivit, Neslihan Atagül, Kaan Urgancioglu
  • Turkish Title: Kara Sevda
  • Episodes: 74

There is a girl in the story who comes from a wealthy family. She paints pictures and is always looking for new people to paint. That’s why she leaves her house and rides the bus. There, she finds a young man to use as a new face for her work. The girl tries to draw him secretly, but he views her without knowing. Forget about Endless Love’s unique plot. You’ll fall in love with it because of its real characters and honest feelings!

Inconstant Love (2019–21)

  • Starring: Akin Akinözü, Ebru Sahin, Ayda Aksel
  • Turkish Title: Hercai
  • Episodes: 81

In this famous revenge story, the main character, a man, seduces his enemy’s daughter. At first, he plans to kill the girl after marrying her to get back at the people who killed his father. But something needs to be fixed. He falls in love with her, which he didn’t expect. Some exciting turns in Inconstant Love make you think of an old great story. The story, the characters, and the mix of love, betrayal, and hate are all so great that you will never get bored viewing it.

The Promise (2019–22)

  • Starring: Gokberk Demirci, Can Verel, Esra Çoban
  • Turkish Title: Yemin
  • Episodes: 504

The marriage deal says A young girl is taken to Istanbul and forced to marry a stranger in a Turkish show. Even though she doesn’t want to, she decides to make her uncle happy. The guy didn’t want to marry, but his father made him. He promised, though, to hurt his wife and get her to leave him.

But one day, everything changes when they fall in love with each other. The Promise is an excellent pick for people who like beautiful Turkish shows. It would help if you fast-forwarded through some scenes to escape too much drama and confusion, as well as scenes that repeatedly show the same things.

In Love Again (2015–16)

  • Starring: Özge Özpirinçci, Bugra Gülsoy, Tamer Levent
  • Turkish Title: Aşk Yeniden
  • Episodes: 59

This Turkish love story is about a girl from Istanbul who runs away to the US from her father after getting pregnant by her boyfriend. She doesn’t expect her loved one to put pressure on her to have an abortion. Now she has made up her mind to leave him and go back to Turkey. As she walks back to her house, she meets another man who has also returned from the U.S. after a loss.

I recommend reading In Love Again if you want to find something funny and cheerful. This show can be hilarious sometimes, but it can also become severe. The change from one to the other is so quick that it keeps you on the edge of your seat!

You Knock On My Door (2020–21)

  • Starring: Hande Erçel, Kerem Bürsin, Evrim Dogan
  • Turkish Title: Sen Çal Kapimi
  • Episodes: 52

The show presents a girl who wants to do well in school but has a problem. Her foreign grant will end, and she can only finish school if she agrees to the marriage contract. The girl doesn’t want to take the deal at first, but she does when things get out of hand.

They fall in love with each other so much in a fake relationship that they forget what is right and wrong. You Knock on My Door is one of the few shows with a strong, independent female character who could be more robust or more straightforward. The story gets off to a good start but can let you down in the middle.

Price Of Passion (2017–18)

  • Starring: Ibrahim Celikko, Birce Akalay, Muhammet Uzuner
  • Turkish Title: Siyah Beyaz Ask
  • Episodes: 32

This tremendous Turkish story about a contract marriage will make you feel many different things. The story is about a doctor who loves helping people and is very good at her work. She is also strong and can defend herself if she needs to.

But one day, she gets into trouble. The killer takes the woman hostage and forces her to marry him. Even though she is in danger, she is kind to the wrong family. She also tries to understand why her kidnapper acts the way he does by putting herself in his shoes.

She doesn’t even know how she falls in love with him because of this. This is the kind of TV show where every character has a story and a lot of depth, so it will make you cry! Remember to try it!
